Look at THIS RAM! The latencies and the price are crazy-low. I can't believe that NCIX or D.C. wouldn't sell this stuff. I also wish that there was a compatibility list. Newegg rates the volatge from 2.35 to 2.45, but the geil website say 1.9 to 2.3 . I'd love to do a review of this stuff.

What really sucks is NewEgg doesn't ship to Canada. I called about ram before and the Sales Rep said they do not shipt to Canada. But that doesn't mean if you don't know some on in the States, ship it to them and get them to ship it do you, Just get them put gift on it Customs will be less likely to charge duty on it.
 
These are probably the same modules that are used on the Patriot Extreme Performance PC8500 NCIX had on sale this last week for a CRAZY low price.
 
1.8 is the ddr2 standard. anything above that is just adding volts to get the clocks they want. i don't like the big gap they have for the low to high volts on that ram. i'm betting it has to be run closer to the 2.3v. and if thats the case, then you can go get a cheaper set of ram, "over volt" it and get the same results. the fire stix for like 200 have been known to clock pretty good.

They won't even ship to a US address if you pay with a Canadian credit card.

For those timings, 1.9 is impossible. I'd expect a minimum of 2.3v to have that stable at all.

Not all kits clock the same. I've run a few kits that have required 2.5v+ for CL3 and another that ran with 2.2v. It's luck of the draw. With a kit like this though, you know it will work with 2.3v. At least if GeIL is not fibbing. NewEgg probably knows what they are doing though, and over-estimating to avoid needless RMAs.

Personally, I'd rather a faster kit with 4-4-4, but this is still a good $/performance ratio.
