• Board is $280 new so take 20% off make sense
• I got 5800X for like $250 back in Oct so $360 for 5900X seem right (20% off current retail)
• RAM got really cheap recently so I wouldn't pay more than $120 for 32GB

Considering an AM5 7700 rig is about $200 more before tax and the performance is kind of similar. Yes, I'm using a B board not a X board in my build below but consider it's a new platform that has legs vs an AM4 platform that is EOL.

I just bought a 5900X, ASUS ROG Strix B550-F (so not an X570), and 64GB (2x32GB) 3200 cl16 for $780 CAD, new, taxes in. Maybe that provides you a bit of a comparison to the new market. That was on sale of course.

I agree that you should be able to get more than $500. I certainly would start higher than that, perhaps $700-800? And then negotiate down if it doesn't sell. I still think it's a great upgrade option
