Gigabyte KVM issue - need help!

That's interesting. When you go to the KVM wizard on the monitors menu what does it show is tied to Displayport/HDMI? It should be USB-B and your laptop should be Type-C:Type-C

Not sure if you can help, I've been researching this monitor as a potential purchase - and google led me to this forum.
I run two PCs with one monitor currently using an external keyboard and mouse switch. If I got this monitor would like to use the inbuild KVM but don't want to use the USB-C as the video input.
Ideally DP for one video input, and HDMI for the other. The USB-B output appears as though it can be assigned to either HDMI or DP, just wondering if you know if the USB-C can be used as just an output for the Keyboard and Mouse and not for display?
My hope is that I can do HDMI with USB-B for one PC & DP with USB-C with the other.
Thanks.

So I just bought the monitor yesterday and found this forum regarding the USB-C issue and stumbled upon your question. Not sure if this is too late or not but unfortunately no, it does not work. I tried connecting my keyboard using a USB-C to USB-C cable to the monitor and nothing happened except a Windows pop-up dialogue box saying "Make sure this device is compatible with DisplayPort connection" or something along that line. Same goes for my USB-C in-ear. My PC didn't even view it as an audio device but just a "Billboard device". Not sure what that means...

So in conclusion, I guess the port is only capable of doing video input and nothing else. Hope this helps with your buying decision!
