GPU Baking still a Thing?

Iv had to pull my Evga Titan X from my other rig it has started exhibiting crashes lock up's at desktop I'm wondering if baking the GPU and putting a arctic Extreme IV will make it work again it was used for light 4K gaming on my TV nothing Demanding.

Just as likely to be a drivers / windows thing as anything. In my experience, PCB/solder issues tend to manifest as artifacting, crash at full load, or complete failure. Throwing the card into another system is the easiest way to check. That said, I've baked 3 or 4 cards successfully including a 580 just a few months ago. No harm in giving it a try.

It's been outa warrenty awhile bought from a member here I baked it shimmed it with thermal paste. Artic accelero Xtreme IV load temps are 52c down from 85+c ideling to 29c now
