Both have 896 Mb VRAM
240 Processing Cores vs 216
630 Mhz Core Speed vs 576 Mhz
1134 Mhz Memory vs 1000 Mhz
127 GB/s Bandwidth vs 111.9 GB/s

If thier very close to the same price the choice is pretty obvious.

Enjoy...

Then, it depends on what you wanna use it for. If it's a budget PC wait for the GTX 260 specials (200$). And if you have the money to get the GTX275 well then get it.

But let's say you wanna use this system to play WoW only the GTX 260 will be quite enough.

The OP stated that the Cards appear to be at the same price.....if thats the case why buy the lesser of the two Cards...?

Very True, might as well get the upgraded version.

@Chosen, my HD2600 was enough to Max settings on WoW, a 260 is overkill.

You guys should have thrown our HWC review of the GTX 275 into the mix, it performs very close to the GTX 285 for $100 less, its deffinetly a much better card, but if you could get a GTX 260 for around the $200 mark, which I know you can I saw one a day ago for $208, then it would deffinetly be hard to beat.

I was referring to the GTX 260 Core 216 ... not the old one btw. For price, GTX260 Core 216 is a great bang for the bucks. But if you have 300 - 400$ to spend, then grab the GTX275.

GTX 275 was $275 yesterday, and keeps returning to that price every sale at NCIX.... and im talking about the 216 as well, its outperformed by the GTX 275 by a good margin, if you buy the GTX 275 at full asking price then ya its not so good but if you get it at the sale prices its a pretty strong contender.

Wait 'till you see the performance EVGA GTX 275 FTW. It's like trying to drink out of a fire hose turned on to full blast.

The FTW make that much difference over the reference model sky?

EDIT: theres also the 2gb version of the card as well, as if anyone needs that much frame buffer...
