H105 Waterblock Cleaning and Applying Thermal Paste Question

I just bought Corsair H105 for Intel Core i7 1150 with Asus Maximus VII MOBO.
I bought Arctic 5 paste so I can use it for the CPU and the waterblock.
The problem is that H105 waterblock has already have thermal paste applied on it. What can I do to ensure the surface is clean? Can I just use my rubbing alcohol and lens cleaner?
Also can I follow the thermal paste guide presented on Arctic Website?

Thanks

I've always used rubbing alcohol and some microfiber cloth.

Thanks.
I just used some microfiber cloth but it left some tiny scratches (visible but not much).
I think there was some small particle on the cloth itself.
I cleaned the surface but I hope it doesn't affect it too much.

I prefer 99% alcohol as I know there aren't any oils or added water. As far as my lint-free cloth goes... I just use paper coffee filters.

An old pair of CLEAN cotton socks (turn it inside out) works very well to. ;)

Thanks for the tips. I installed H105 on Haswell 4790K on Maximus VII Hero.
The idle temp (realtemp) is higher than I expected (around 37C with no overclocking).
Is this too high? Should I reapply the thermal paste?
Also I found that the fans come with H105 are rather too noisy. I think replacing them with Noctua Silent fans will be a good idea.
