have the issues of running 4 sticks of RAM been fixed yet?

I'm having no luck finding any info about whether I would be able to run 4x 16GB DDR5-7200 UDIMM at full speed with my 13900K on an MSI Z790 Edge WiFi. When the first gen DDR5 parts were released and you installed 4 sticks, it would downclock it to something ridiculously slow. Has that been remedied or at least made better?

I can't afford the high capacity 32GB / 48GB sticks of 7200mhz RAM for teh 64GB / 96GB I'd like to have. Buuut, I could afford to get two 32GB kits of 7200mhz memory if I staggered it over a couple of months. that a single 32GB / 48GB stick is often twice the price of the same capacity as a matched pair really ticks me off. I want fast...but not that much. :p

Pretty confident you'll get reduced speeds no matter what, but by how much depends on the MB and RAM.

I wouldn’t even bother. You have very good ram already and I have tested the high end ram. You will not really see a performance benefit on that setup. Even on my 14900k I settled on 6600. That dominator platinum is premium memory.

I tested up to 7400mhz. The 6200 kit I sold you was the sweet spot.

Intel also have this problem? My Ryzen 5800X and Bulldozer 9370 would both need higher voltage to get it to boot at the stated speed, otherwise it's de-rated. So my DDR4 3600Mhz need 1.4v instead of the stated 1.35v otherwise the highest I can go is 3200Mhz.

It’s just that passed a certain point there are diminishing returns. With that comes increased cost, heat, voltage, etc.
