HDD Problem: Second Physical Drive Not Showing Up (URGENT)

My "D:" drive which is my second drive and used as storage is not showing up in Windows Explorer when clicking on Computer, however, when going to:

Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management

The "D:" drive shows up there. And, when I right click and choose Explore, I am able to get into the drive fine under Windows Explorer.

So, how do I get it to show up again?

Obvious response, but did you restart?

Otherwise look for the NoDrives key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

This key should be set to "0" to show all drives.

Yes, I did restart. And, after I read your post, I restarted again, this time it showed up. Seems to have been an issue with Windows itself, because the BIOS was seeing both drives.

If no applications are tied to "D:\", I'd say try giving it a new drive letter using Disk Management.
