I was never the biggest fan of TD, but at one time their low end bundles couldn't be beat;

PHII quad 965, motherboard (w/ onboard vid), and 4G ram for $130 after rebate? You'd have a hard time finding that kind of pricing on used kit, let alone new. Keep in mind though that it's an OEM proc which doesn't come with a heatsink so you'll have to come up with one.

So they're pairing a 125w CPU with a board rated for a 95w one? That's... a bit of an oversight, no?

It's tempting and I'm in the market for a budget setup, but I've heard of the VRM issues. It's a 3+1 setup, without a heatsink. Even with air blowing over the circuitry, I'm not sure I'd risk it.
