How much, is too much, to replace fan in aged laptop? (jyo)

I never liked pulling apart laptop especially if you have to pull the keyboard and or the dam screen I always seem t o tear the ribbon or almost tear the ribbon, but I have done it more then a few times only messed up one but 300 that to me is over the top and like what is said just replacing fan for probably could do it yourself and of course the paste . The other reason I have issues is my hand apparently are large and not made for small things lol

Out of curiosity, do you smoke in your house? That old fan looks really clogged as generally these blower fans should be forcing the dust out.

And what is "LD"? London Drugs? I surely wouldn't take my computer to be serviced at a pharmacy :D No Best Buy or like Mobile Klink/uBreakIFix type stores?

But yeah that price is too high, I'm guessing they must contract it out.

LD is London Drugs. I used to work for their commercial customer computer division TLD Computers back in the early 90's. I don't think they do repairs instore, they used to go back to TLD or a central depot for that.
