I am trying to figure out if my PSU is enough for my rx6800xt and 7800x3d but one place I went to which was new egg says I need 900-1199W, but two different places place, outervision.com, https://pc-builds.com recommends at least a 447 W
that is what I was thinking also , I already am using a new 850 but its a Roswell I bought on sale a while back it seems to be solid but .. its a Roswell cgm850 and I have read they are hit am miss, I have been debating getting a quality one because the other day my second m.2 drive didt show up ,I had to reboot but also the time in windows was hours earlier at first I didnt think anything of it, it corrected itself but then yesterday when I booted up I looked at the time it was correct I started playing HP and I alt tabbed out , the time was again a few hours behind then later on which this could be a coincidence or the game it self the game froze and I had to crtl alt del sign out and back in this made me wonder if the PSU isn't quite up to parI would say that 447w number provided would be about peak consumption of the system for sustained gaming. GPU ~300, CPU ~100, the rest ~50.
My gut feel is that I would say a minimum of a quality 650w (fine if you already have it), with a 750w being what I would recommend (if buying).
