how to uninstall default carrier app's once a phone is unlocked?

figured out that the Samsung A5 actually does use a nano sim like my iPhone...so setting it up for use right now. it came from Bell so has all sorts of Bell app's I'd like to uninstall, if possible.

is this something that can be done?

Not without flashing an alternative firmware as far as I know. You should be able to "hide" most of the apps though by disabling them.
