HWC forum cookie problem ... darn Chrome!

Seems I've been having problems with Chrome handling cookies for the forum for a while, not sure why. It even started on my phone yesterday!!!

Basically I open the forum main page (http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/) from a new Chrome tab (either my bookmark or from the new tab "most visited") and I appear not to be logged, I enter my username and password and I see the "you're logged in and will be redirected bla bla bla ..." screen, but when I'm redirected it STILL shows as not logged in.

If I open any other forum section, THEN I will appear logged in and will be ok until I close the tab, if I come back later I'll have the same problem.

Erasing HWC cookies will fix the problem until I come back (so back to square one, erasing cookies and logging back again) but this seems to be a problem with Chrome AND HWC since I never had that problem with IE, Firefox, or with other websites in Chrome, I was wondering if anyone else had encountered the problem?

I use Chrome exclusively on my home PC and my phone, IE at work, and I haven't had any issues so far.

This has been a problem for a long time and it occurs on any browser for me. I don't worry about it and just chalk it up to the alignment of the moons

That's odd. Doesn't occur for me on my main or a test account.....on any browser.

I'll get our programmer to look into it provided he can recreate the issue.

hasn't happened yet at work since I deleted the cookies yesterday but it came back right away at home (yesterday night) and on the phone (today).

I'll make a video to show the weirdness of it! lol

Though unlike enaberif, I don't have the problem on any other browser than Chrome...

The only time I see weirdness like this is if you go to "http://hardwarecanucks.com" versus "http://www.hardwarecanucks.com"

FYI, the "bug" didn't come back, last month I did a "clear browsing data from the beginning of times" of everything (instead of only cache and cookies) and that seemed to have fix the problem (at work, home and on the phone). No idea what happened with Chrome, but it looks like it might have been in the browsing data somewhere!
