so my system is running stock I have a 7800x3d and two nvme ( 1 2tb and the other is 4tb) drives and my new 7900xtx this is the PSU I am currently using and I dont seem to be having any issues but I dont want the PSU to go and it smokes everything my current psu is Rosewill cmg 850w go+ gold which has Japanese caps . I am not sure if that is actually a decent psu I haven't had any issues but
any suggestions?

850W clears the couple of PSU calculators I checked, so you're likely safe on wattage (with 600-800W being what I came across for range).

How old is the PSU? If it's 5+ yeas old, I'd likely switch once I found one on sale, no reason to rush out tomorrow and get one, but if it's brand new or fairly recent you might be safe.

I'm not too sure how Rosewill PSUs stack up so that's an unknown factor. I generally think of most of their stuff as 'near junk' tier, way below Seasonic, Corsair, Silverstone, etc, but have no idea who manufactures their PSUs so they might be just as good as the more 'prestige' brands for all I know.

Overclocked 5950x
7900xtx
2xD5S pumps
18xNF-F12 fans
6xsome garbage low speed RGB fans
couple stimmer cables for fun
2xNVMe drives
1xSFP+ network card
Removed the sound card but it was using 6pin pci-e for power
...
I'm only using a SF750

GPU under load sits around 350W, odd spike to 400W
still leaves 350W for everything else for me

I think your concerns with an 850W are unfounded to be honest unless it is quite old

my psu is maybe 2 years old.
I just had mild flashback from years ago when i first built a intel 2500x I think it was but I was using a old slightly underpowered psu plus I upgraded to a nvid card one day I smelled smoke heard a crack and my system shut down , I went through everything and realized the PSU smoked the motherboard hehe

Maybe check the model number and see how many reddit hits pop up for it?

Sounds like they outsource manufacturing to a wide range, so I'd guess they don't have any specifications they insist fabricators on meeting, but are just slapping the rosewill label on at a set price point so quality might vary significantly.

I like Seasonic, the last two PSU's that I bought were from them.

A Prime GX-750 that I bought 5 years ago, and my Vertex GX-1000 that I bought a year or two ago.

I have killed an Antec, Corsair, Thermaltake, and I think that's it.. so I don't buy from them lol..

I still love my EVGA 850 that's been going for years but I have no clue what their status for power supplies is these days. They were tops when I bought mine.
