when that email from amazon came up saying hey you who favorited this psu last one in existence at msrp is available i didnt hesitate they knew what they were doing ><
hmm could be the reason why a couple of times when playing ark sa my system just rebooted out of know where I know that game is hugely buggy, but it also could be my PSU but my system hasn't done it wit hany of the oerht games I have played so far and I have stress tested using cinibench but I have played any GPU demanding gamesJust remember, 80% rule. Your PSU can only sustain 80% of the rated power under 100% load. So if you are 850W -> then it is about ~ 680W guaranteed.
Probably didn't need to be done. EVGA is (was... sadface) a solid company. The little zap sound when flipping the psu kill switch is likely just from a tiny amount of corrosion on the contacts for that switch or a relay. Can happen to any PSU really, especially older ones in humid places.I actually replaced my EVGA PSU with the Seasonic 750 because the EVGA would make a sizzle sound when I flip the switch on the back.
Not good.. at least sound wise.
I still have it, I was planning on using it in a light build for my youngest son. It should be ok..Probably didn't need to be done. EVGA is (was... sadface) a solid company.
