today, i tried to find a driver for my friend's dad... its really old ati card... it called "ati rage 6 32mb" on the card... thats it...

i tried rage 128, pro and other from offical ati download site... it didn't work... i also tried to search and download but some rare files were not free to download... :\

so anyone knows one? or know exactly what "rage 6" is called...

i told him to get new cheaper one... he said, no... he just needs to use s-video from that crappy video card to view security cameras on his plasma tv... not worth to get cheaper video card...

help?

What OS is he using? I thought all of the older cards had drivers built into XP / Vista.

Try running Windows Update? Should have a driver for such ancient hardware IMO.

Otherwise I'd say it's a lost cause. And really, I somehow doubt that will even work well on a plasma, even if it's just s-video (are you sure it's even s-video out?).

EDIT: Quick Google, looks like this is a Mac video card. Quite possibly why you can't find Windows drivers for it. Doesn't seem like anybody else was able to either.

This old thread looks interesting;
PC Pitstop Forums > Ati Rage 6
Maybe HP has a driver for that card, as they included it with their systems at one point. The guy in the thread also mentions an old catalyst that should work.

The Rage 6 is also a code name for the original Radeon: ATI Rage - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia , and Radeon R100 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If the above is correct, then the Catalyst drivers from ATI's site (Catalyst? 6.11 Display Driver for Windows XP Professional/Home Edition ) should work by doing a search for just plain Radeon
