Intel lowered bond status and CEO questioned

Man it seems Intel can't catch a break.
  • Intel's bond status got lowered to 2 spot above junk
    • This will impact how they can borrow money
    • Basically the market is having doubt about Intel's on going business
  • Lip-Bu Tan's past is being dug up
    • During his time as CEO at Cadence Design System, they were caught selling restricted design automation tools and semiconductor IP to China's National University of Defense Technology
    • Cadence Design pleaded guilty and forked over $140M as penalties
    • US GOP sentor Tom Cotton sent a letter to Intel's board questioning Tan's tie to CCP

 
Still wondering when (or if) the US government is going to step in and nationalize Intel. Otherwise it's looking like China will be getting all the assets one way or another... they've surely been ramping up their own national chip development efforts.
