No you are correct.

Excellent review. So it seems that these LGA 1355 processors provide a huge jump in performance compared to their LGA 1356 counterparts. Now I'm interested to see how the non-K versions perform and overclock.

Btw on page 3 of the review at the WoW chart, it should say 1280 and not 1210 ;)

In line two of your post it should read 1155 and 1156 not 1355/1356

If s2011 has the BCLK limitation I'll be pretty disappointed.

But saying that, with a lack of integrated graphics, I see no real reason why there would be no more BCLK headroom.

I'll have to wait for Q4 before I can pass full judgement on this architecture. Looks promising, and I love the additional extensions for transcoding.

We will see what the Gromacs folks can do with the new extensions....

from what i read 2011 wont have but the traditional multi limitations, save the extreme k,x or whatever edition they call the higher end ones.

im still bumped that theres no i3 k yet. it would make for a killer chippie as well. like one article says, it sends lower end customers directly to amd's offerings.

now, what was the date, i mean date, for the dozer release date? ;)

I'm quite curious as to what kind of PPD the 2600K can pull in compared to something like an i7 920. Anyways, solid review! I'm still slightly holding my breath for what AMD has to offer in the coming weeks or months.

Sky,

Care to comment on this?

I think so, yes. AMD is launching parts on the 4th and Intel may not have wanted their new architecture compared to well-priced AMD offerings.
