is there a test or diagnostic that can be run to see if the fault has occurred / developed in a CPU? I have a client with hundreds of systems deployed and they weren't aware of this until I shared it this morning.

I feel like in office deployments your clients are likely a lower risk however some of the articles around this suggest this is less of "when" instead of an "if" problem and just best to deploy the patches.
