Interesting how water blocks have changed

I was looking for spare fitting so I can plan the transfer of my hardware and came across a water block I never got rid of. I picked this one up around 2004 and would have been the second waterblock I purchased. This is a Koolance CPU-305-V06 and I know I had the earlier CPU-300-V10 (2003ish) before this.

Thought I'd share these quick images

I wonder if I still have the 300 stashed away somewhere.

The blocks older than that had no fins @ all. Look @ the Danger Den Maze 3 or the D-Tek Spiral. Actually it seems there are no pictures of the D-Tek internals on the internet anywhere. :(

Jumping through some articles for approximate release dates the Maze 3 would have been something I looked at when I picked up the CPU-300 which also has the pyramids instead of smooth channeling. The Maze 4 looks like it would have been about the time I bought the CPU-305 (the ones in the pictures). Even the maze 4 looking back at it really wasn't overly complicated.

Probably from all the changes ImageShack and Photobucket have undergone since those days...

I think I still have my D-TEK Fusion v2 somewhere... that's about as far back as I go though.

I've even still got my DD waterblock from my 9800GX2. Holding on to that since I bet it's extremely rare, and definitely a design we wont see in a long time I bet
