I'm reviving this thread and don't care: the question is even more valid nowadays since Discord is almost universal.

So, let's get one going! If necessaryI can get it up and running, but it'll take me a little while to learn the programming-side of things from scratch (there actually seems to be a lot you can do with it).

Let's make this happen!

Forums are more searchable and better for storing information.
Also, Discord is evil.

I'd see em as an additional source of getting to know our member's lol forums are great and always will be discord will be more an addition to forum's

If everyone, or even the most active users, from this forum started going on Discord and chatting there, what would be the point of continuing on here? The owners have already stopped supporting and posting new content to the site, all of their focus is on youtube. As it is this site is mostly an archive with a few regular members chatting daily. Take that to Discord and this site will fade away to purely an archive with very little activity.

I don't really think a Discord channel would kill the forum. Long posts, questions, articles from the web, build logs, photos... none of those would be replaced, IMO.

Plus, I might like to game with some of you guys! So I don't know... on the fence now.
