is there a HWC Discord server?

Thats not what he means. He’s wondering that, if members started communicating on there, then how much would they continue to post on here. It’s same thing I was wondering. My guess is that the posts on here would diminish significantly.
 
1) how much traffic do we really have on here right now? I know some have claimed that there's only a couple dozen regulars that visit often and not much more.

2) A discord server could actually Help HWC: discord is a pretty widespread app that many people use, and having the ability to go there, interact with members and possibly game with members, could be a boon.

3) the HWC site here will absolutely stay up! Heck, we could even post links about new articles and builds and photos into the discord to lead visitors back here to wx: read a full article or member review.

🤷‍♂️ or am I totally wrong?

thats what mean , so say there is now a discord server and say someone like myself many years ago was trying to find help for something they come here but there is fewer people on and they get no replys so they just go somewhere else .
I have learned probably 80% of my PC knowledge plus other things from this site then any other place\searches online then anywhere . it was that one little but of help that made me come back but also pay it forward
 
honestly id use both Discord could be for burning questions that could use a more rapid response but id still post all builds and updates here as this is Home, Discords like the extra to get to know the community OG's and most of us would more then likely route ppl here if we aren't 100% sure of the answer.
 
Who knows maybe if they actually promoted the discord on their youtube channels then maybe it could ressurect the community a bit. I personally only ever used discord to check stock of gpus or consoles when they were always out of stock. It would probably be more work for the mods too.

That's the thing: there's isn't a million of us. There won't always be someone on the discord ready to answer some random person's questions. We can ask them (via discord scripts, I think) to post their Qs on the forum. And perhaps it's even possible to submit a question on discord in a special chat room that could automatically post it here as well. I don't know about you guys, but I've forgotten things that were already answered here *and when I googled it, I re-found the answer here*. That almost makes the forum into a sort of database, questions coming in from discord or the forum, answers discoverable via googling... seems like a nice synergy.

And besides all that, I think it would be fun to do some gaming with you guys. Hell, maybe even that Dimitri guy could be persuaded to do some gaming livestreams with members - a little perk of HWC membership that would also grow the forum, the HWC YT channel, the discord members, etc. Synergy and more synergy, that's be my buzzword of the day haha
 
Honestly id love that Destiny 2 Solo isnt always fun Gm's can be a nightmare if its not the right one in rotation. Diablo 4 could be nice to build up a HWC Clan so we could slog through seasons together. and other games that ppl would love co-op.
