Well, I bought it... I'm such a sucker for shiny new things lol
Did you managed to get in? Looks like they were having major server issues. I think I will pick this up too, been quite a while since I played an arpg and this one seems a good one to get back into it.

I didn't have time yet. I went in and set up an account, set the game settings, and looked at the class selection screen, but that was as far as I went.

I have several ARPGs, and I am still liking D IV. But sometimes I'd like the ARPG gameplay in a setting that's a little less... dark and gory ;)

I've been playing in full offline mode. Game runs great and is a lot of fun, in my opinion. I was going full Circle of Fate and I don't play a lot of multiplayer so I don't miss the online mode at all. That said, their online launch was pretty bad from all accounts. Mighty thankful for a full offline mode!

Is this still a mess? I launched the game to get the most recent patch, but am still putting the final touches on Grim Dawn so I'm going to wait until the dust settles.

Still haven't been able to try it out yet. And if I did I'd be starting offline and that apparently works fine according to @Dwayne

Their latest update (from this morning on their forum) stated that they have multiples backend deployments and client updates planned throughout today. This evening might be rough though since it'll be the first weekend so I assume the online mode risk being spotty. It's fine by me though since I'm currently completing my first playthrough of CP2077!

Its funny the offline mode has the multiplayer chat function 🤣

There is a full offline mode that doesn't connect to the servers at all that you can chose at Steam launch. Then there is normal launch where Offline you can chat, then full online mode. From what I have seen of the streamers the online seems to have been sorted out. All in all the game is still the same as before 1.0 with the added Falconer and Warlock masteries. Upgraded looks, maybe a bit smoother animations, and the Circle of Fortune is raining loot down, what more can you ask?

fopr me it seems to always launch in online at least a few days ago when I was playing it a little it would say cannot connect to server then I had to launch again and it would connect and load the game which I think is pretty stupid since I am a single player this is why I stopped playing after a few hours

If you're not group playing the game is 100% functional online or offline.

Group play has some quirks that pop up, but knowing you @sswilson that wont matter :)
