Played a bit finally. I like it so far but I don’t love it yet. I think I’ll try the different classes before I go too far. I picked a mage to try something different than I usually play in these games and the abilities aren’t doing it for me. Only level 7 but still.
And this is a very nit picky complaint but if I’m using a two handed staff that prevents me from using anything in my off hand then why isn’t my character model actually holding the staff with both hands?? I know. Small thing. But it bugs me lol
It’s challenging I found with the mage solo even on normal mode. I’m not a great ARPG player but anyone else find that? Getting swarmed with melee enemies while getting hit with ranged. Battles feel good though and are fun.
It isn’t grabbing my attention out of the gate the way D IV did, but I do like it. Think if I find a class I like better that’ll help.
But I haven’t played near enough yet. This is just an early first response.

loved the game bought the Founders Pack to Support Devs.
as soon as im done this barb and maybe a fem Druid for the kitty/wolf scritches ill be done with D4 and move onto Last Epoch Fulltime.

lol important to read item descriptions carefully! I had the Cursed Veteran’s Boots on. I thought the Rogue seemed oddly squishy at low levels!!

Dinged 50 last night, really enjoying the game. Playing a warlock, went with something completely different than what I would normally play. Haven't played an arpg since the first expansion of Grim Dawn came out so it's refreshing.
Was in a queue for about a minute last night before I could get in, not a big deal but servers appear to be stable now, haven't experienced any disconnects or slow zone transitions over the last 2-3 days so I think they ironed out the worst of it.
I'm getting close to the last chapter before the end game stuff but apparently there are a few story chapters missing still that will be released later, maybe during the next cycles. Looking forward to try the end-game stuff. They made a post yesterday talking about the plans for future updates and it sounds like they will be adding a lot end-game stuff. Right now you can find posts around about end-game lacking but I think it's mostly from EA players that have been playing for while.
Overall, for a 45$ game, I'm happy!

Finally got around to blowing off the dust on this one after the official launch.
They've gone whole hog DIV clone from the looks of it. Everything from resplendent chests and shrines to treasure goblins.

I played it a bit just before I bought DIV, and I liked it. I'll be going back to it at some point and it's nice to have an option that is a little less dark a setting compared to DIV... you know when you just aren't feeling like torture, corpses, and death...
I'd forgotten how abruptly the main Quest storyline ends. One minute you're following quests, then you're fighting what feels like a pretty potent boss, and then suddenly you're dropped into the endgame grind location.
