"please don't feel pressured to ask any specific questions"
Hmmm...
that's an odd one...
Thats definitely a weird statement. Is that the same as, feel free to ask any specific questions?
I assumed that line was a result of ESL. It's Vancouver after all
. It's certainly a 'buyer beware' flag.
If I had a portable rig and new I could run a few decent tests on it, I'd consider it (if I was in the market or Van), but if that wasn't an option it wouldn't be worth the chance IMO.
Yup, when I read that line I was wondering WTF, exactly, is this guy tryin' to say. I kind of took it to mean, "don't ask questions, just buy it", because I've run into several people that, although they're trying to sell something, and they haven't provided NEAR ENOUGH detail, they still don't want to answer any question, and pretty much take the attitude of, "if you want it, buy it, but don't ask questions, because I can't be bothered spending any time actually trying to help sell my item(s)".
I had one guy trying to sell 3 computers in a bundle, but COULD NOT be bothered to simply take the side panels off, and read some of the info off motherboards, video cards, or power supplies, and simply replied with, "it's a great deal, so if you want them, just buy them". To top it off, he didn't even know if any of them worked, but because he kept one of them, which worked fine, for his kid, he simply assumed the other 3 all worked, and wouldn't even allow potential buyers to see if they'd POST! Needless to say, I passed on said "great deal".....
