Huh...just got home from work, only to find that the folding rig was off and I had to make a few tries to get her to boot back up. Once I finally did, Win7 tells me there was a bluescreen. I hope this means the OC is OK. The only change that was recent on that rig was the 1.1 linuxrouter image, but I doubt that was the issue.

Actually, when I restarted the vm, 24% of the WU was still there. I got lucky that the WU survived it.

So I am still having major issues trying to get all 4 of my GPU clients working on my 2 9800GX2's. Only the first 3 clients will work.
I've tried:
4 monitors hooked (since I don't have any dummy plugs).
multigpu mode and non-multi gpu mode
adding -forcegpu nvidia_g80 flags to the shortcuts

Now I can throw them in different machines and they each will work on their own. But that is something I really don't want to do.

Man this GPU folding sure isn't as easy as the -bigadv

Just on the off Chance mate, did you ensure that you had each individual GPU Core Extended onto its own individual Screen?
And if this is a dedicated Folding RIg, Run XP its a lot kinder to GPU interfaces.

I have 3 monitors on the 2nd card. So It must have had both GPU's used :p And no this is my main machine. And I was hoping to use the quad SLI to game once in a while. I am not willing to downgrade to XP.
Lowfat i know it's stupid and you probably know it . but the GPU are 0,1,2,3 not 1,2,3,4

the flags have to be like that

Folding@home.exe -gpu 3 -forcegpu nvidia_g80

Yup. They look like this.

What cards out there will play nice w/ multi-gpu mode and do not require a dummy plug/2nd display? I am starting to get rather annoyed w/ this machine.

Is XP 64-bit a competent OS for folding? I really hate XP but I would be willing to give it a try for my secondary machine.

should be easy, but ppd/dollar spent on those is not great.

I'll have 2 high clocked i7's doing bigadv's soon enough anyways. And possibly a third on in my HTPC as soon as I can sell of my current gear. I'm too old (26 ) to deal w/ the headaches these cards have caused me.

Tomorrow I'll try to get the 2 9800GX2s and the 8800GS in my second machine. If they play nice I'll keep them. I won't be gaming on that machine so I won't need to enable SLI all the time.
