So it looks like my current setup will also be too high for the 4u case In the interest of getting it in there I think once I come to the point of putting the top on I'm just gonna cut a hole out for the heatsinks and close it off with duct tape if I have to.
Off to get 3x140mm fans to replace the 5x80's the case came with, luckliy the fan support has enough meat around the edges I should be able to cut out the middle and have enough for mounting screws.
Here's mine. I replaced the top cover with an acrylic panel, to channel air towards the back. Later this summer I'll move the case where the UPS is, and use rails to attach it to the wood sidewall. I'll drop the UPS lower to the ground.
Noise? What noise. I can't hear it in the garage. :biggrin:
