I got my Tahiti LE this morning. Will keep youi updated with the production, it snatched a 8900WU right away. Seems only 50k ppd.
Very low folding participation : only 55 members.

My GTX760 arrived and I put it to fold right away. For the moment seems 52k PPD.
On 8900WU is giving 70k PPD clocked at 1280 MHz.

the Tahiti LE was doing 50k PPD, I was kinda disappointed so I sold it the next day locally and got a GTX 760. It is churning numbers alongside an older GTX460. But I was thinking of getting the 4P setup that is so cheap to get now on ebay, a Supermicro H8QME-2+, 4 Opterons and 16GB of ram, upgrade it and run for -bigadv. That would be a game changer.

I've heard good things about the 8425's as well
Yeah, but expensive compared to 8389. 8435 is 150$ with the included shipping to Canada. The cost of the mobo (shipping and custom taxes), the hexacores cpus, and a good PSU to run that setup will set you back one grand. Actually I am thinking of pulling the plug on that but to run it with 8389s.

For those interested here is a 4P socket F build guide made by the guys at EVGA forums.

Also a very important thing, apparently the 6.4 client is way faster than the V7, using Musky's install. Apparently for WU8105 average tpf is done in 15 mins while on v7 takes 20mins. The difference translates into 100k PPD! Now if I could move that GTX760 to fund my 4P rig, that would be nice. Will do some more digging. Bigadv V7 vs V6.4

I am not sure but from what I have read this is because The Kraken was not installed. So it seems a promising prospect, I think I could run a Win Server 2008 and then a VM in that, as it will be my main rig.

Ok, so apparently that Supermicro H8QME-2+ and 4 highly clocked quad-core Optis 8389 (2.9 GHz) are doing 139k PPD on 8102 WU and 154k PPD on 8105 WU. There are no taxes for the customs for the mobo with the cpus and the ram, but there was tax for the cpus, less than 6$ per each 8389.
For the moment the listing has ended but as soon as I get rid of my gtx 760 I might take the plunge.
