Been working on this off and on with a limited budget for months now. I think I have made enough progress to start posting my work log. :thumb:
Hardware
Case - Lian Li PC-V359
Motherboard - Asus Maximus VI Gene
CPU - i7 4770 / 4790 (sourcing)
RAM - 4x4GB Mushkin Redline 2133 DDR3
GPUs - SLI Evga GTX 680 SC
HDD - 4TB (sourcing)
SSD - PNY PRO 240GB
PSU - XFX 850W Pro (might change)
Cooling Components
CPU Block - EK Supremacy Nickel / Plexi
GPU Blocks - EK FC-680 + Nickel Plexi / Acetal w/ Plexi parallel sli bridge
RAM Block - EK-RAM Monarch Nickle Plexi 4 Slot w/ EK RAM Modules
Mobo Block - EK M6G Nickle Plexi
Radiators - 2X 240mm X 60mm (1X AlphaCool UT60 - 1X XSPC RX240)
Fans - 3X Noctua NF-F12 3000RPM - 2X ProLima Vortex 12 400-1300RPM
Fittings - Bitspower Shining Silver 7/16 X 5/8 Compression, Extenders, Rotary Adapters, Ball Valve, Air Release
Tube - Promochill White
Pump - D5 W/ Koolance pump base / res combo
Reservoir - Bitspower Z Multi 150
Notes
Dual 120mm Side Panel Fan Mounts
-Can support a slim (30mm thick) style 240 rad with 2x 20-25mm thick fans (both sides)
*exceeding a total thickness of 55mm per rad will cause clearance issues with the back mounted 120mm fan, cpu block, and GPU (depending on board and PCI-E slot spacing having a card on the bottom PCI-E slot with cause clearance issues with the rad, might get away with 25-30mm rad & 15mm fans on that side)*
Flipping the side panels to mount rad under mobo tray requires the following :blarg:
-Remove mobo risers from tray (space with very thin nylon washers)
-Relocate mobo tray supports from front of case towards the center of the tray (add 10mm spacers)
-Drill holes at back side of case 10mm up to attach back side of mobo tray
-Grind/cut 3-4mm up the IO cutout in the back of case
-Remove HDD & Front mounted 120mm fan
-Remove PSU mount, HDD cage magnet, side panel stabilizer x2
-Remove front mount USB / Audio *slightly slimmer rad would avoid this
-Extend (cut) back existing PSU cutout to far side of back panel
-Mount PSU in back middle
-Mount HHD/SSD under mobo tray
-Mount pump/Res onto right side panel
