Previously using a Fractal design 7, absolutely wonderful air flow and design. Would get again if it had a USB C Gen 2x2 front panel port. I love the effortless clip design which has made tinkering with stuff a breeze and cleaning is by far simple as could be. Noise levels are minimal as well from fans.

Does anyone have recommendations for something similar but with the updated USB C port as I opted for the ASUS strix - A which has the header for it?

if the motherboard you are going to use has a header for USB C Gen 2x2, then you should be able to find the cable required to let you connect it to the USB C port on the D7.

Is the port capable of the capacity? I'm not sure if the design has the appropriate wiring for the same revision of USB C to handle the power/data throughput. Connectivity is not the main interest, it is the actual use of max wattage/speed for phones and data. I get sick of having to plug into a back panel for the benefits.

Appears the hardware in place supports up to the 2x2, the motherboardwas the limiting factor only supplying earlier usb c revisions... Despite online documents only show USB gen 3.1 as the spec for the FP.

yeah if by you havent figured it out M-ATX is the Red Headed Step child of the motherboard industry though i too would be fooled since it seems case manufacturers have been pumping out matx cases like candy for no good reason other then to antagonize those of us who think this means a resurgence nope straight up malice on there part. unless you go for green pcb server boards.
