Modded RTX 5090 with 128GB of VRAM (debunked)

Techspot / HUB reporting a modified RTX 5090 with 128GB of VRAM spotted on X which costs $13.2K USD. As pointed out in the article, the max VRAM is 96GB by placing modules on both sides. But the current modded RTX 4080 use a custom board so I suspect it's the same for the RTX 5090 128GB. I also don't think it's using 3GB modules because that doesn't divide evenly. 2GB modules mean 64 chips are used and I can't see how all of them would fit.

Yeah, I seen the video so I know it can be done currently. But if you fit 64 chips, that could mean 32 chips on either side. Wouldn't trace length become an issue? Current max is 48GB with 12 chips on either side close to the GPU die. You can't really go wider so you can only go longer. See the 4080D 48GB custom board which should be the same in GN's video.
