Monitor randomly going blank screen

I got this 19" ProView monitor that is acting really strange.

It won't stay on for more than a few minutes at a time. Generally the screen will flicker briefly and then the monitor will just go black. Although it doesn't always flicker before it goes blank.

If I press the power button off and turn it back on, it'll stay on for a few minutes again and then just go blank.

Dieing monitor, a way to fix? Anything.

you've had this monitor for a long time? you could try changing the vga/dvi cable i've had that happen a couple times in the past and changing the cable always worked for me.

If its a crt monitor? and cabling is fine...try another monitor.
No trouble with the swapped monitor?
toss your old proview out.
