Although I have actually downloaded it to verify it's real.
Best bet would be to give up on the idea of using a program that's no longer available from legitimate sources. You'd be taking a big risk that any download you find is either outright malware/virus, or even that the site you get it from is going to try to infect your PC.
I'd personally recommend something like paint.net as a replacement instead of going to questionable sources.
If you absolutely have to have it, I've had pretty good luck with majorgeeks over the years and trust it as a source. (Just pay really close attention that you're clicking on the actual download link you want as they often pepper their download pages with unrelated crapware links in an attempt to trick you into downloading that by mistake).

What does the classice version have that the newest one doesnt? I have used ms paint a lot and I dont really notice anything missing.
