Need 850 - 1000w advice

I've got a 12700KF and recently upgraded from a 1070 to 6800 XT.
My Seasonic 650w Platinum is having trouble when gaming.

PCPartPicker estimates that I'm using around 710W.

I have a MSI MAG 750 Bronze, but don't want to be cutting things that close.

So know I have to decide on whether I want an 850 or 1000w. I'm leaning toward the 1000 because I don't want to have to upgrade the PSU in the next 5-7 years.

Looking for an A or B tier - but I am having trouble making a decision.
Do I need the new PCI-E 5 connector? How do I find a good deal? Do I need to be concerned with power rails? (I honestly don't know enough about PSUs).

Was looking at a Sona(sp?) 1000w for $119, but not sure if that specific model was A or B tier.

It would be great if PCPartPicker could filter by tier and had up-to-date pricing....maybe someday?

Should I go with an 850 or 1000? Any other advice?

Thanks

What's A or B tier? Who made that tier? I suggest you go to HWBusters and start looking at their reviews. They have the following benchmarks for each of the PSU tested:

They already tested the new Asus Rog Strix 1000W that's using GaN MODFET and new Corsair ATX v3.1 PSU.

I think you answered your own question.

Obviously, at this point, you don't need the PCI-E 5 connector, but if you think you might be upgrading some of your main components in "the next 5-7 years", you quite likely will.

How do I find a good deal? Do I need to be concerned with power rails? (I honestly don't know enough about PSUs).

Power rails? I don't think that should be of much/any concern - most PSUs these days seem to largely be single 12V rail designs..... seems like the multi-rail thing has kind of faded.

Was looking at a Sona(sp?) 1000w for $119, but not sure if that specific model was A or B tier.

Sona? Not that it necessarily means much, but I haven't personally ever heard of that brand, so without some research on it, I'd automatically assume it's likely not an "A tier" PSU.

I would steer clear of SAMA, no decent reviews by reputable reviewers. Also, where are you going to get DeepCool products since they got sanctioned.

Only review I found is from OC3D and it seems to be a good unit. Dark Power 13 got a better result but it's also close to $350?

That 12M looks really good. A bit torn between that and the super flower platinum
