I'm in New Zealand and prices do vary from the US. Last time I bought parts from Amazon and didn't really compare them to local retailers. This time I started with them. Shipping also takes a huge chunk out of the budget so I may purchase the smaller parts such as ram from Amazon. I'm actually using the cooler for my current build because I got it cheap a while back so I just thought I could use it for my next build and replace the current with the stock cooler. It's at i5-6500 btw.I assumed you're in the US because you specified a budget of $1K USD. Which country are you in exactly? I can't recommend cheaper build simply because I don't know what the prices are in your region. Two things I want to point out about your original build:
- Ditch the CPU cooler and use whatever that came with the CPU. You're not going to OC, the chip can't OC, the board doesn't support OC so you can get away with the stock cooler.
- Look for pair of RAM instead buying 2 single stick. Not sure how the pricing is in your country but if you look at the US prices, your setup is $70 USD for 2x8GB. I can get the same capacity and faster RAM for $60 USD (Team Force Vulcan Z).
