hi guys
i am looking to buy a sleep gaming keyboard

i am looking for one preferabally with all of the following options
listed in priority

1) back lit led
2) The ability to pick which key to light up. (i am a big time Starcraft/diablo player, i want to be able to make the keyboard light up just the keys i use in those games)
3) Ergonomic feel (similar to the Razer lycosa feel)
4) Red light

anyone know a keyboard like that?

I don't think there are any exactly like that...I don't think you can pick which individual keys you light up. With the Razer lacosa it has some options to light up the WASD only..

Ya besides spending the $2K on an optimus you are out of luck. You would need serious software/hardware on the keyboard to do that.

IMO the better thing to do is learn where the keys are on the keyboard. :haha:

backlighting shouldn't be needed if you know how to type.

If you know where the keys are, it would be stupid to have some keys lighten up. If you really need it, save some bucks and get the Optimus Maximus.

Most of the backlit keyboard have a LED under them and lights up the whole keyboard. If you wanna waste money on a keyboard with partial lighten up sections, go ahead.

Wow... you guys are mean to the point of being cruel. Why not offer him some realistic options? Sorry howdid, not everyone on this forum is an :censored:.

Here are some actual options for you:
Option #1:
Logitech G15: NCIX.com - Buy Logitech G15 2ND Gen Gaming Keyboard USB Black Silver Amber LCD Panel Programmable Backlit Keys - 920-000379 In Canada.
It lights up, has a screen for game/system info AND you can program the "G" keys to be any key you want. I.E. you can program "G" key to be a macro to select all units of a certain type in starcraft. Probably your best bet.

Option #2:
Razer Lycosa: NCIX.com - Buy Razer Lycosa Gaming Ultrapolling Keyboard Black USB Programmable Blue Backlight NON-SLIP Keys - RZ03-00180100-R3U1 In Canada.
This keyboard also fully lights up or can have just the WSAD key light up (although thats more for FPS gamers). Still, it has programmable keys like the G15 but no screen. The advantage is the "ultrapolling" technology (again for more for fps gamers) and the slim nature of the keyboard.

Option #3:
Saitek Cyborg: NCIX.com - Buy Saitek Cyborg Gaming Keyboard Multi Color Back Light 12 Programmable Keys Metal Plated Key Caps USB - PK17 In Canada.
I'm not a huge fan of the design myself, but it has sectional lighted areas, programmable macro keys and touch-sensitive area for multimedia keys. Take a look!

I second Razer Lycosa because it fits most of your descriptions, especially like the one you said "feels like the lycosa"
The Cyborg is decent, but the looks are not for everyone. G15...meh..
