Yeah, I couldn't find cap limits on the alliant website, and I believe somebody else from NB confirmed that alliant doesn't have them down here. Eastlink in NS is the same AFAIK.

The max overage charge with Rogers has been raised to $50, and I believe Bell/Alliant followed suit. (Although down east, alliant apparently doesn't enforce caps at all).

Rogers also dropped the cap from 60 to 50gb a month for all new accounts due to netflix.

They think netflix is going to be big so they thought might as well cash in on it too some how :haha:

Hence ive been averaging 300+ gb a month since they did that douche move. Might as well use the bandwidth i have available.

I have heard the selection sucks bigtime when it launches anywhere... once it gets more robust though I just might sign up.

I'm using the month trail. Place I'm at has an old unlimited plan. The selection seems a bit limited though. Hope it picks up.

As of June 27, 2007, CTVglobemedia-owned networks CTV and The Comedy Network have exclusive Canadian rights to the entire Comedy Central library of past and current programs on all electronic platforms, under a multi-year agreement with Viacom.

Even if the contract expires CTVglobemedia have a lot more cash to throw around than Netflix. Most of the programs on CTV aren't available and probably never will be (unless the show gets cancelled like Heros).

Also CityTV and other networks are owned by Rogers who of course have a stake in Cable TV just like Bell. I don't think Netflix will be able to survive this duopoly."

Netflix will be big. Their current lack of selection is due to licensing and nothing else.

I've used their american service for a long time (signed up w my friends american address and CC and used a proxie to dl).

They pretty much have it all.
