Network speeds drop to half, transferring video file.

I always get a network speed that drops to half speed while transferring a big video file. Both computers have 500 MB/s R/W SSD's.

What SSD is on the receiving end? I am going to go out on a limb and say it is a TLC (3d or 2d) based drive and you are saturating its pseudo-SLC write buffer.

Sorry I forgot all about this post...


I guess it had something to do with the SSD, Maybe the Samsung EVO SSD. I put it in the same computer & it drops to half still. Maybe something to do with the SSD cache getting full with a 20GB video file. I don't have the SSD anymore. it was full speed coming from the Samsung to my good old Crucial SSD.
