I have herd of taking out rudders but this is the first time I herd of them attacking the hull of the boat. They have have been attacking rudders fore years now.

I think that its just rough play and marking territory , I used to sometimes watch them swimming upside downplaying like dolphins or the dali porpoise ( I think that is what t hey are called) which I have seen around Vancouver Island years back next to some of the ferries going from Tsawwassen to Vancouver Island either in active pass ( I think that is what its called ) or just past going towards Swartz bay.
