Very nice....tidy.....the one thing I really like with the IGP is being able to test everything out of the box if you dont happen to have a GPU available....

I was able to get my 9900K rock stable at 5 Ghz (all cores) and the last few days more tinkering reached 5.1 Ghz (all cores) / 4.8 Ghz Uncore (Cache)...thats the upper limit though as even with a Custom Loop I was getting peak temps on a couple of cores to 91c running P95 ....and that non AVX......w AVX forget it ;)

If I try to overclock, or even set turbo on all cores, my cpu hits 85 right away. The nh-u12s is good for normal turbo use. To go higher I would need a beefier hsf. My temperatures average about 60c under 100% load at 4.3 ghz on all cores (which is what it drops too).

Nice clean build crazyea, very nice!

Thanks!

Made a couple of changes.

Switched to the Noctua NH-D15s with 2 chromax nf-a15 fans.

Also added a gigabyte rtx 2060.

Btw, whats your passmark single thread score at 5.1ghz? Can you try it for me?

Said it already but very clean, even with the large air cooler. Nice!

How are the temps with the new cooler? Big improvement?

Nh-u12s was 29-30c idle and spiked to 91 all cores at 4.7ghz
Nh-d15s is 25-28c idle and spikes to 85 all cores at 4.7ghz

Both run 57c when throttling but thats probably by design.

So in reality is was a pointless sidegrade. Lol.

its queiter under load though.

Well quieter under load ain't nothin'! ;)

I would have expected a bit more improvement than that but there you go.

But I am also running a define r6 which isn't know for its cooling prowess either, and its possible my cpu doesn't have the best transfer from the core to the hsf.
