Just very frustrated with this whole AMD fiasco. I'm following it very closely, and the latest info seems to be that AMD is working on AGESA version 1.0.9.0. Perhaps Asus is waiting for that to finalize before pushing out an officially supported BIOS. At any rate, I am using an officially supported BIOS with DOCP turned off. I used HWiNFO64 to check the SOC voltage, and other voltages as well, to make sure nothing seemed overly high. The CPU core voltages are under 1.2 v in most work loads, and the SOC stays well under 1.1 v.

I remember a similar rant against some shady crap the MSI was pulling a number of years back. I guess every so often the tech media has to reel in these companies and remind them that any good will they build in the community can be pissed away in a moment of stupidity.

Steve not only rightly rips them a new orifice, but then tells them how they could have avoided all of the bad press with a few simple actions that would have built up more good will. Instead, we have this mess, and future sales will likely suffer due to their poor response to this problem.

As much as I am disappointed with all the drama surrounding this situation, I believe it is a limited thing and I am sure it will be fixed and all will be well with the platform. Looking forward to that day when I can install a stable BIOS and enable the DRAM speed I paid for.

Downloaded and flashed 1415 BIOS on my ROG Strix X670E-F motherboard. Enabled DOCP I and voltages seem to be properly set and the system appears stable. Haven't run any real stress tests, just a couple of 3D Mark benches and some games.
