New Mid-High gaming RIG, need opinions!

Would you consider this a good gaming PC for the money?

Right now I'm pretty locked in on no liquid cooling unit to start (I can always get one later if I'm running too hot) and getting the GTX 570, the 580 IMO is too high right now for the added benefit. Stickin with 16G RAM because I can :P

Thanks for the MoBo suggestions, I'll take a look at each and see if I think they're a good fit. Any other comments on the rest of my rig?

Edit: How do these look to people? (top is first pick)

The top one looks good(motherboard), I would just get a GTX560Ti and later either get another one or sell this one and get a higher end card.
For the rest of the rig, looks good.
But at the end of the day you have to be happy with what hardware you have.

Amen to that my friend... and thanks for all the help in this not-so-little endeavor, it is greatly appreciated. :D

Which would you pick, the 570 for ~$300 or one 560Ti now and another 2 weeks later (at next paycheck) for a total of ~$500? Or for the price of the 2 560Ti's would you just get a 580 for ~$425?
 
I would get the most powerful single-card solution, the GTX580, instead of going SLI with 2 lower-end card.

Too many issues with the SLI feature and not enough benefit to warrant the 2 lesser cards or do you simply think the GTX580 will perform better for the money?

Well if that's the case just get a single GTX 580 and be done with it.
 
Getting the most powerful card is never ''the best bang for buck'', it's just ''the best''. You'll have no issues going with the most powerful single card. As some games don't support SLI, so you'll get f'd if one doesn't in performance.

Some may argue it's good to have SLI if one of your cards die...but you just lost half power there.

Anyway, be happy with what you buy, that's the most important part :thumb:

And my GTX580 takes whatever I throw at it. :ph34r:

If you go with a 570, here is something to look at:
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more!

With that combo, I don't think the 580 is worth the extra money $120.

About 560 SLI, vs 580, it is generally suggest that you go with the fastest single card solution you can get, then by a second whenever you need more performance. The reason is because if you get two slower cads now, when you need to upgrade, you have to sell your old ones. With a single card you can just buy a second. Really it is just about being able to upgrade later on, for cheaper.

Depending on shipping costs that might be good but the 2 I was lookin at are for $605 total, likely that'll save me money with shipping costs though so thanks :)

With the 580 I've found it's $95 more than the 570.

Ahh ok good to know about the SLI vs single (my tech is always behind the times so selling was never really an option before).
