Here is an interesting article from PC Gamer. Rumour is you will not be able to overclock the 1070 Ti.

You might not be able to overclock Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1070 Ti | PC Gamer
Or maybe you will be able to.

The interesting thing will be where the market price for these settle in at. The MSRP for a GTX 1070 is $379 USD but here are a couple of Partpicker lists with USD and CDN prices:

Lowest USD in stock is $394.99 ($492.22 CDN)
https://pcpartpicker.com/products/video-card/#c=369&sort=price&page=1

Lowest CDN in stock is $509.99 ($409.25 USD)
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/products/video-card/#c=369&sort=price&page=1

The [H] article has a $429 USD MSRP for the Ti, and shows the 1080 MSRP at $499 USD. Lowest in stock 1080 is going for $499.99 with next at $509.88 and up from there.

But, as a consumer, this is just another choice in the price point wars.

Just hope the 1070ti is going straight to dual and triple fan models from the get go. I'm interested in getting one of these if the reviews pan out in a positive light.

The GPU prices are currently high.
GTX 770i @ $429 VS $499 for a 1080, the spread is too small, I would go for the GTX 1080

The prices right now are too close to the 1080. Lets see what performance is like come Nov 2nd when that embargo is lifted
