I have a bit of a strange one I have been struggling for 5 to 7 days with only being able to get stereo and left and right audio from my ASUS X870E ProArt mobo.

I'm using the same rear speakers which are external speakers and are nothing fancy and they plug into the rear panel of my PC and I get stereo from them but for whatever the reason when I use my SHURE head phones which are stereo I can can not stereo or left and audio from them and the volume is very low.

I'm running Windows 11 23H2 and I have gone into Control Panel then Sound and tried to configure them and they show up and I set them to stereo but nothing helps.

I have tried right clicking on the speaker Icon in the lower right and selecting them from there and that doesn't work.

I don't think the head phone cable is damaged but that's the last thing I can think to try.

Look at the front panel header on the motherboard fore poor connection . Buy some cheap ass earphones at a gas station and see if they work .

Edit : A 3.5 mm slitter that breaks out sound and mic . I cant find one . :)

Is it possible it's hardware specific WRT headphone settings? Have you installed the motherboard specific audio drivers?

I have the drivers installed and there's only 1 motherboard connector for the audio output.

I know nothing about WRT and the setting's how do set it or check for it.

I just checked every setting in the Realtek software and also in Windows again and I can't get it to work the way it's supposed to.

I'll check tomorrow and see if one of the pin's back out of the connector that plug's into the mobo that's all I can think of.

If this is a software problem this bullshit that you have to go threw all this shit just to listen to sound, this stuff should be illegal to do,I hate all of this let's break something that isn't broken and tell everyone we improved it mentality.
