I've had this problem before, but it was with an Asus P5B Deluxe which had oodles of BIOS options that could 'fix' the issue, at least until the next reboot. Let's just say this Dell Precision 390 has nothing in the BIOS to address this and my 9800GT has gotten stuck at x1, which probably explains why my points are about 2K off in [email protected]. It's a i975X based motherboard. It's obviously not overclocked. (it's actually underclocked as you can't disable C1E) Any thoughts?

Lovely, it's just as flakey as it was on my old P5B. Power the system down, pulled the card to see if I could see anything, put it back in, serched through the BIOS again, found nothing, changed nothing, back to x16.

I've never had love for Dell , although some of their Foxxcon Boards do work well.

Hopefully it doesnt' come back again.
