I am actually kinda suprised that no-one has made a thread about this sweet though weird looking device yet. I know that Mr.Friendly at the very least knows about it. And though I to have known about it for a while I just read some very cool news. Apparently Valve is getting behind it and the falcon will soon have support for the entire Orange Box... Lets just say I went from saying "thats pretty cool but i doubt i will ever get one..." to "it will work with Portal and TF2? ... I wonder if I can sneak one of these onto my wedding gift registry..." This will change TF2 entirely for me I heard people talking about how insane the recoil of the magnum in the HL2 mod was can you imagine the Heavy's Chaingun? Of the feel of force feedback as you backstab someone with the spy? It could add a whole new level of precision to the sniper... The list goes on and on. Don't even get me started about Portal it was amazing before I have a hard time imagining what this will do to the experience...

Ha ha, I was just about to post about this. Totally amazing product. Can't wait to try one out. The FPS gun attachment has me drooling :shok:

Yeah I want one but they also said something about an Orange Box Edition coming out soon which probably has the FPS gun attachment you mentioned... And apparently there is going to be an announcement regarding the falcon at E3 next month that will dwarf Valves support announcement... My humble guess would be Blizzard will be getting on the bandwagon also because its the only thing I can think that would be as big or bigger than Valves involvement. And I just want to say that if the pictures of the Ice Crystals or whatever it is that Blizzard is releasing (that are hinting at something) is not Diablo 3 I am going to be super pissed...

I think they might also enable support for it on the Xbox 360/PS3/Both- since Valve's games that are supported by this product are also on those consoles.

yes but imagine the sales of the falcon when it has support for WOW.... I am personally not an addict but for those who are and already are completely immersed this will further that if possible and another 10 percent of the population will suddenly be on welfare and become shut-in's doing nothing but playing WOW and occasionaly sleeping... But it would genius for Falcon because they would sell SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many more units if that happened.

just thinking about it being able to use the falcon on windows by itself would be pretty sweet as well. Like have some sort of force feedback when you move the pointer over any icons and have it kick back a little when the window opens... some REALLY cool possibilities I think. Or instead of clicking on icons you just put the pointer over them and pull back to open them would add a totally visceral feel to just using windows.

Well as sometimes happens when I see an Item I like and want fairly badly i go a wee bit ocd with the research about it. I have wactch every video demonstration I can find and I read every review I can find also and a few strange points have come up. Very few of these reviews are recent and some of the videos even less so, this doesn't bug me but they keep saying well if it gets the support it will be good... I would call Valve getting the support. The other weird thing one review I read said is that is the Falcon is not meant for online gaming and is more suited to single player games... how the hell can they make that assumption? Sure the learning curve might be... well lets say intense. But once you get the hang of it I can't see why it wouldn't be good for online gaming, its going to work with tf2 soon so are they saying valve is dumb for creating the tf2 drivers for it? I don't know that one point just kinda made me mad but I still want one and I still have no idea where to get the money for one.... I don't even have anything to sell.
