GN has done a very deep dive into China and Asia video cards .
A long video comes out Aug 15 2025 . :) :)

 
They will smuggle anything as long as there's profit. The grey market is pretty nuts there. Remember back when iPhone wasn't a global launch and people would use straw buyers to line up in Canada and then pick up the phones outside? There's also a story about how people strap iPhones to their bodies and try to use the cross border train from HK to Mainland China.
 
Video is out, 3.5 hours long. If you already watched the preview video above, you could skip to around 1:31:00 to watch the juicy part. He will put out other videos from his visit to Yeston and Brother Zhang. Good thing is that I now know how much a RTX 4090 48GB should be.

hmmm....I like GN, but I also don't think I will watch a 3.5hr video. I will wait until someone puts time stamps out for the video and just watch the parts I am interested in.

Just skip to 1:30:00 like I said previously. It cuts out the bits between Steve and the researcher in HK Chinese University.

but that still leaves 2:00:00...

I have ADHD bro and can't even sit through a whole movie...heck, even TV episodes are hard sometimes (/me looks at Alien Earth)...
