this could be a useful tool to have for a tech support lab! personally I would want one that has two slots and can clone. those are already out there but I think they all need an external power source.

Something weird about the photos. normally the key slot has enough pressure on it for good contact that it also makes it pop up some. but in those pictures it is perfectly aligned with the slot even though there is no screw or other mounting hardware keeping it inline. I wonder if this thing would actually last or if it is something that will wear out easily.

as with anything you plug in and take out a lot, it will wear out eventually. I see this as any vertical slot in a PC that you put any GPU or other peripheral into, so don't think there should be any flexture or odd tension like when installing horizontally.
