Ahhhh. I think NZXT has been a sponsor of Jay's videos from what I remember. Wonder if it was him trying to help and retain a sponsor, wanting to put his own spin (or build off) on GN's video, or something else.

Likely we'll never know, and it doesn't necessarily matter, but I'll keep that in mind if/as the situation develops. Thanks.
 
cant watch jays anymore too much of a band Wagoneer ooooo this is getting traction quick lets make a video of my opinion on it >< hes like Ja Rule of The 90's useless.

I got the impression he knew what he was doing and was just in damage control mode,I fall a sleep threw part of it but I never once heard him anything oh my god this is totally wrong and I feel shitty about this and I want to make everything right,it was after Jay pointed something out oh I feel terrible about this or whatever,but never once did ask Jay can we pause for one because I want say just how shitty this is and we need to make it right.
 
once this gets traction all those tech tubers are going to go on the offensive as they were slinging this bs like ppl sling rock like the 80's.

I thought that was some guy that brought their stuff in bulk or a vendor and use another sticker to get around the sanctions in US.

Anyway, there are other people making cases similar to NZXT. HWC reviewed the APNX V1 which looked like the NZXT H6. All their other cases are just a box with front intake or glass, I mean how hard would it be to copy? The key diff factor is the details in the little things like cable routing, assembly, and actual airflow design.

The only things I think Steve missed in the video was he probably should have at some point said "Renting a PC isn't inherently wrong, and there might be a specific use case where it makes sense, though rarely. The NZXT program is so bad though..." or something along those lines.

I think there's a very niche case for a PC rental and that it's not automatically a bad thing, like some people rent tools, vehicles, etc. It's almost certainly going to be a worse value for anything other than short term usage, but there's a case to be made.

Not that NZXT was making that case, it was clearly an attempt at fleecing between the predatory conditions, legions of influences, bait & switches, data selling, etc.
