So I finally got around to OCing my computer for the Chimp Challenge. In order to save time and gain more points for the team, I used the auto overclocker in the asus BIOS on my MB.
Since It's my first time, I want to make sure I won't be killing my computer by running it 24/7 at these clocks.
I've got my i5 750 running at 3.7 GHz with a Vcore of 1.3 V. Temps are stable with 24/7 folding in the low 60s.
My 5870 is running at 960/1300 and is stable in the low-mid 80s.
Other than generating a bunch of heat, will these settings cause me problems for the next 5 days or so?
